All of a sudden two weeks has passed and it is time for me to write another post. I have done some fun things these past two weeks, shared a new song with my songwriters group, had two paying gigs and had an interview with a freelance journalist about my music. Who says the Universe is not helping out. When I asked the journalist how he found me, he said he found me because another musician he interviewed was following me on Twitter… Wow. I also heard from my sister that they continue to play my music on my hometown radio station and they are now playing a new tune. I can’t get over it. My music on radio. One of the community stations in BC is playing one of my songs as well. Okay thanks Universe I say.
While all this cool stuff is going on I fell and injured my right arm. The snow had covered some ice and down I went, flat on my back. I made it through my shift on adrenalin and thought I was okay and then the next morning not so much… I was off work for a few days. I was having problems playing my keyboard and my guitar, however, after actually taking my chiropractor’s advice and resting I am back to my old self. A couple days after the injury I really felt some profound survival stuff, fear of falling again, of not being okay. Extra rest took care of this as well. The main thing I have taken from these past couple of weeks is that taking the time that is needed doesn’t mean nothing else will happen. I took the time I needed and was still able to do both my gigs last weekend.
I hope this Easter finds you well and full of hope. I encourage you to continue to grow in your creative endeavours, whatever they may be.
Yours in creativity and music,
