I drove the highway from Ravenscraig towards the Cypress Hills and I could feel my body begin to unwind. Concerns I had been obsessing about seemed to lose their intensity. I found my tenting spot when I got to the park and got set up. My body relaxed even deeper into the nature that surrounded me. Then there was time spent hiking in the trees. Wildlife seen on the road near the park, coyote, deer and a hawk reminded me of my place in the universe. A Moose showed up on the road as I drove back to the park after my gig. I forget how much I love to camp with a tent. It forces me outside. As long as I can still get up off the ground I will remind myself to take myself tenting!
The show I performed in Maple Creek on Saturday night was a reminder of the connections that can be made when music opens hearts and when time is spent together doing something people love. I got to know the hosts as we got the venue ready for the evening and we shared stories. They also appreciated my music and hugs were exchanged when I left. Two people spoke to me about how the music touched their hearts. Friends I have known for years showed up and brought friends. My parents drove an hour to see me perform. This is why I write songs and perform! Thank you Universe !
So my friends I am off to England for a couple of weeks and to the lake! I will catch up with you when I am on the road and when I return.
Remind yourself of the creativity that exist in you and the connection to yourself it can bring.
Yours in creativity and music,
