The New Year has begun and I have been slow in getting back to my music. My work as a Home Care Nurse has kept me busier then usual. However, I find that when I do get back to my music, I am happy no matter what I have to do, whether sending out Cds to radio stations or practicing for my next piano lesson. I am surprised to find that I enjoy the every day tasks of both the business and the creative side.
I am finding this time quiet after the hoopla of 2017. I am finishing some left over pieces from last year before heading into this year’s goals. Perhaps life is full of left overs, where do they go, how do they fit into our present reality. It is like a puzzle and trying to figure out how all the pieces fit together. In my own life, I put together the puzzle of my Nursing life, home and music. Then with music it is to see how the puzzle fits between creativity and business. I also need to figure out the best plan for what to spend my time doing and this is where setting goals has helped me so much as well as having a STOP DOING LIST. These are concepts that can be used in any part of life where there are things we want to accomplish.
I am having fun combining piano lessons with learning some cover tunes that I then plan to share on Wednesdays With Wanda. I am so grateful for what I am learning from my piano teacher. New ways to play, old things, such as scales, to remember. The bonus of this age is to see how all the things I have done and lived to this point are all helping me now. Like taking all the peices of a puzzle and putting them together.
I hope you are well. Go out have fun and be creative!
Yours in music and creativity,
